1. Information we collect
None. Platyn does not collect, store, or transmit personal information, device identifiers, usage analytics, or telemetry to Lunium. There is no Platyn account, no Platyn backend, and no database anywhere that holds your data.
2. Signing in to PlayStation Network
To show your trophies, Platyn needs access to your PlayStation Network account. Sign-in happens on Sony's own login page, loaded inside the app in a standard iOS web view. Your PSN email, password, and two-step verification codes are typed into Sony's page and go directly to Sony. Platyn does not read, store, or transmit them, and Lunium never sees them.
When Sony completes the login it issues a session credential to the web view. Platyn exchanges that credential with Sony for the access and refresh tokens it needs, and stores those tokens in the iOS Keychain on your device. They are used only to talk to Sony's API on your behalf.
3. What is stored on your device
- Your PSN access and refresh tokens, in the iOS Keychain.
- Your trophy library, trophy lists, profile summary and downloaded game and trophy artwork, in the app's local database and cache.
- A small snapshot of your totals and recent trophies in a shared app group container, so the widgets and the Apple Watch app can display them.
- Preferences such as your pinned game, whether hidden trophies are revealed, and whether Platyn Pro is unlocked.
All of it lives in the app's sandbox on your device. Signing out inside Platyn erases it, and deleting the app removes it entirely.
4. Network activity
Platyn talks to two parties, and only these:
- Sony Interactive Entertainment —
ca.account.sony.comfor authentication andm.np.playstation.comfor trophy and profile data, plus Sony's image servers for game and trophy artwork. These requests are made on your behalf, with your own account's tokens, and are governed by Sony's privacy policy. - A static status file hosted by Lunium — on launch Platyn may fetch a small public JSON document that says whether a minimum app version is required or a service notice should be shown. The request carries no parameters, no account information and no identifiers, and it is not logged for analytics. If it fails, the app carries on as normal.
There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising network, and no third-party SDK of any kind in the app.
5. Platyn Pro
Platyn Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the payment; Lunium never receives your payment details, name, or address. Platyn only stores a flag on your device recording that the purchase is unlocked. The purchase supports Family Sharing and can be restored on your other devices from Settings.
6. Third-party services
Platyn integrates with no analytics, advertising, attribution, or tracking services.
7. App Tracking Transparency
Platyn does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, so the App Tracking Transparency prompt is never shown.
8. Children
Platyn is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. A PlayStation Network account is required to use it.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a future version of the app, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above revised. Material changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
